Benny The Bandit & Miss Mischievous Amy

Hi, My name is Jenny.  My partner Simon and I had an old cat called Elliott who passed away. We were both very upset, and it took us both a long time to get over his death. I have always liked British Shorthairs, so we decided to look for two, hopefully from the same litter, so they could keep each other company while we were at work. We discovered Denise's site, and much to our delight there were some kittens for sale, with their pictures. I fell in love with Amy at first sight, and Simon was taken by Benny, so the die was cast. Denise was kind enough to let me come to her house and visit them when I was in Victoria for a few days. Now we couldn't be without them.  Amy and Ben run riot through the house and love to chase each other through the tunnels we have bought for them. They have sooo many toys, which we find in the most bizarre spots. Amy loves being outside, (always supervised, of course) and climbing the mango tree, and Benny loves to do the garden with me, they both also love watching our new big TV, and Benny likes to watch tennis with Simon on the lounge, and have the occasional Smith's chip. They are a delight to have and give both Simon and I great joy. They are both the most loving cats, and always very obliging. I can vouch for Denise, and her patience with us when we had many questions and must have driven her crazy with emails.

Elizabeth, Destiny & Sapphire

Dear Denise and Family. Thankyou for our beautiful cats Elizabeth, Destiny and Sapphire. They have become a much loved part of our family. They enjoy our company and are very affectionate cats. Elizabeth, Destiny and Sapphire enjoy playing with my two children and are very tolerant of my five year old son. Thankyou once again for such beautiful additions to our family.

Copernicus

We chose a British for their easy going personality and with many breeders around, we’re thrilled we found Denise. She kept us informed throughout the process and sent through images as Copernicus grew. Even now Denise is quick to respond to the occasional ‘nervous mum’ question which is very comforting. We were desperate to finally meet Copernicus, and when we did, he blew us away. As soon as he took his first brave steps out of his carrier after the long drive home, we knew we had a new master of the house. His first order of business was to introduce us to his pet mice and teach us how to play fetch. He was a bit sooky the first couple of days (missing his mum!), but quickly settled in and laid claim to his favourite napping, playing and stretching spots. We spoil him and he knows it but who could resist that face? Copernicus is an incredibly affectionate and intelligent little (soon to be big) cat. Morning cuddles are our special time; nose to nose and paw in hand we exchange secrets and he tells me how he plans to ambush the mouse. Copernicus follows us from room to room keeping an eye on things and very much enjoys a walk in the garden on his harness. The energy Copernicus brings to our home is rich and loving – we can’t imagine life without him now. His playful somersaults make us laugh, his cuddles warm us to the core and his purr reminds us how easy it is to find happiness in simple things. Thank you Denise for bringing such a gorgeous, kind-natured cat into our lives. We’ll give him a kiss from you.

Marlowe

A string of serendipitous events led us to Denise at Britmania and ultimately, our baby girl Marlowe.
On holiday we met a wonderful British Shorthair named 'Dave' that started our search for breeders. Oliver's family had a history of owning British Shorthairs and I also remembered a special big grey cat with amber eyes that I took care of many years ago for a friend.  So, we began looking for breeders whilst still on our travels. We looked at several sites and shortlisted Britmania, even though they weren't in our state.
When we contacted Denise she was very helpful and tolerant of our MANY questions and had just the little girl we were looking for.  We wanted an affectionate cat that wanted to be around us and we truly have that. Getting her from another state was made tremendously easy by Denise and picking her up from the airport was really exciting.  She was waiting for us in her pet carrier, playing with her mouse, and it seemed she was as happy to meet us as we were her.
She exceeds all our expectations in personality, affection and ENERGY! We thought she would be timid and cautious but upon opening the door to her carrier she was straight out and exploring, playing with her new toys and giving lots of cuddles and hugs.
Now, three and a half months in we can't imagine coming home without the welcoming mao mao of little Marlowe. She has tremendous personality and is very social, people are often surprised that she allows them to pick her up!  She is true to her breed, independent and loyal - she must be in the same room with us at all times. She wakes us up with a paw on the cheek and cuddles and nuzzles and sometimes when we're sleeping in...a spring board off the head!!
If you're thinking about a British Shorthair of your own, we highly recommend Denise and Britmania. Our vet was very impressed with Marlowe at her first check up and said she was healthy and well adjusted. The entire experience was a pleasure and we got exactly what we wanted.
Thank you so much Denise for our girl. She's everything we never knew we always wanted!
